Toil, Toil, Boil, and Bubble...
Well, I apologize for being absent this past week - it was filled with excitement and drama - and neither was of the good kind (although drama never is!).
I'll explain as brief as possible, because it might be helpful to stop the ongoing drama that my family and I have had to contend with for over 5 years now...
It's off topic of Halloween and art - so 'listen' as a friend so I can vent!
We live in a semi-rural area surrounded by orange groves in Riverside CA - we chose it for the peace and quiet - as well as many of the other residents. We are surrounded by huge houses with 3-4 acres, but our property is less than 1/2 an acre. We bought at the market low getting a great deal. Unfortunately the previous homeowners across from us lost their home due to buying it for an insane amount that they could not afford. It was sad because they were quiet, respectful, kept the property immaculate, and had beautiful horses in their field.
So here is where the drama begins...an older couple purchases the home across from us - they seem nice, everything is great for 8 months - AND THEN...the decide to rent out the primary house while they live in an RV in the back (illegal). The renters - PARTY PARTY PARTY - music blasting from boat in driveway, boat motor roaring all day, partying in the boat in front yard, painting boat in front yard, weeds 4 FEET TALL, numerous dogs running amok...etc - NIGHTMARE describes it all. We talk with owners who state "Ya get what ya get". Then a second set of renters moves in who are literal GANG BANGERS, literally. Not an exaggeration or suspicion - literal gang bangers - we had vandalism to our property, vehicles, mailbox and mail, parties, gun fire, NIGHTMARE ON CLEVELAND AVE.
Meanwhile these degenerate owners/'neighbors' decide to lease their acreage to 3 sets of farmers - the traffic and activity becomes even more excessive from morning till night (farming at 10pm) - yelling screaming all day, 15 vehicles in and out all day and night (not including the renters), music blasting from vehicles coming in and out and parked on property/in field - NIGHTMARE. No other property has this type of business, noise, traffic and nuisance on their property.
These homeowners only cared for one thing - MONEY. It was never a home to them, not even an investment - because they put nothing into it - just a place to make money.
So for 5 years we fought hard with the City, County, State, and Federal - recording and reporting all the issues that we as Americans and homeowners should not have to tolerate - and finally some victories. Renters removed out, farmers appear to be removed (due to smoking while picking and handling food), and the homeowners appear to be selling home and property - BUT, to retaliate against us they are attempting to sell it as an 'investment property' - for the future homeowners to use it for rental purposes - and we really don't want or need that again...
So this is where you, as a follower or reader can help - below is a link to their home and property they are trying to sell - yes, it is not worth the price they are asking - it's an insane amount and it shows how greedy they are. BUT they are getting desperate to get out (they aren't making any money from it right now due to inability to rent and lease) and I can promise you that it is a great area to live in, we are great neighbors (!), and it's a great place to call HOME. We are hopeful for horse people - as well as respectful, kind, quiet, and considerate - we think we deserve that much having to endure over 5 years of NIGHTMARES...!
